COMMON UNIVERSITIES ENTRANCE TEST (CUET)

Ministry of Education has introduced CUET i.e., Common University Entrance Test for admissions into all the undergraduate courses in all common universities. It will be conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency). CUET will work as a common gateway for admissions and the process for all the common universities will fall under the same umbrella. With CUET being introduced, the merit-based system for admissions will no longer be valid. However, 12th board marks may act as a minimum qualifying criterion to be eligible for further The application process of CUET is online and the mode of examination is also going to be online at various centers in the country.

To fill the application form, candidate must visit the official website of CUET which is cuet.samarth.co.in

Documents required to fill the application form:

Class 10 th and 12 th marksheet
Scanned image of the signature
Scanned Passport size photograph
ID Proof (Aadhar card, driving license, passport etc.)
Caste certificate (if applicable)

CUET Exam Pattern

Mode of Examinations

The Examinations will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

Pattern of Question Papers

The pattern of question papers will be comprise Multiple choice Questions in the following areas as given below:

UIQP01 PART-A: 25 (English, General Knowledge and Numerical Ability),
PART-B: 25 (Physics), 25 (Chemistry), 25 (Mathematics), 25 (Biology)
UIQP01 100 Questions (English, Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, General Aptitude & General Knowledge)

Medium of Examination

The medium of Question Papers for all the Examinations shall be English.

Marking Scheme of Examinations

Each question would carry FOUR marks for correct answer. As there is NEGATIVE MARKING, ONE mark would be deducted for every wrong answer.

Duration of Examinations

The Examinations will be conducted in a single shift for a duration as mentioned on the paper

For each correct answer, five marks (+5) will be rewarded.
For each incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 1 mark (-1).
Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark.
If more than one option is found to be correct then five marks will be rewarded to those candidates who have marked any of the correct options.
If all the options are found to be correct then five marks will be rewarded to the candidates who have attempted the question.
If all the options are found wrong then five marks will be rewarded to all those candidates who have attempted the question.
